Before you travel
Where do you pick me up?
At your hotel or guesthouse in town. For airports we wait in the arrivals hall with a name sign; for train stations, at the exit of the station building.
How much luggage can I bring?
One large bag and one small bag per person on shared minivans. Tell us about bikes, surfboards or extra bags when you book.
What do you need to book a train ticket?
The full name and passport number of every passenger, exactly as in the passport. Bring the same passport to the station; tickets are checked against it. Arrive 45 minutes before departure.
What should I know about cross-border buses?
Buses between Laos and Thailand or Vietnam stop at the border so everyone can pass immigration. Routes to Hanoi and Da Nang are long overnight trips. Check whether you need a visa for Laos or Vietnam before you book, and keep some cash for border fees.
How do I pay?
After we confirm your seats, we send a card payment link or a QR code (LAO QR, PromptPay, VietQR) on WhatsApp. Every booking is paid before travel; we don't accept cash to the driver.
Can I change my booking?
Bus and minivan tickets: changes are free up to 3 days before departure. 2 days before, a change costs 30% of the ticket price; the day before, 50%. Changes aren't possible on the day of departure. Train tickets: yes, but a change costs 45% of the ticket price, because we have to buy a new ticket from the railway. Use Manage booking at the top of the page or message us on WhatsApp with your booking code. If the new trip costs more, you pay the difference.
My train or flight is delayed. What happens?
Private transfers wait for you at no extra cost. For shared rides, message us and we move you to the next departure.

A car or van just for your group, door to door, leaving at the time you choose. The price is per vehicle, not per person.
Good to know
- Private transfers go direct from one address to another in the towns, airports and stations listed above.
- Your driver picks you up at the place and time you give when booking. For airports, we track your flight.
- Waiting longer than 1 hour after the pickup time costs $15 per hour.
- Stops for shopping or meals along the way are not included. Ask for them in a custom request so we plan the time.
- For half-day or full-day hire with a driver, or a route not listed, send a custom request.
- Cars can't cross the Laos–Vietnam border. Cross-border trips run by scheduled bus.
